Thoughtful, generous and considerate perfectly describe a donation received by SOAR Southport Oak Island Animal Rescue. Hawthorne at Pine Forest Apartment Homes in Oak Island NC recently coordinated a “Paws for a Cause” event to benefit the animals at SOAR. Molly from Hawthorne at Pine Forest delivered items from our wish list that were generously donated by residents and staff. Items included much needed cleaning supplies, food and treats for both cats and dogs and cat litter.

To add a fun twist, a Mimosa Bar was held at the community clubhouse for residents to receive a little refreshment in exchange for their contribution. A big thank you goes to everyone who participated. We greatly appreciate your support!
