A Great Dane And His Adorable Pouting Face Is Melting The Hearts Of Millions

Can you imagine meeting a giant dog who has no idea just how huge they are and thinks they’re a lap dog? Well, that’s exactly how Kernel the Great Dane lives his life.

This big, sweet boy is 175 pounds of pure love, and his adorable pouting face is melting the hearts of millions across the internet. It’s easy to see why; this big beautiful boy is incredibly endearing to watch.

This six-year-old stud lives with his mom in Boston, and his favorite part of his morning routine is when he gets extra hugs and kisses from her. But if she skips the AM love session because they’re rushing around or running late, Kernel is sure to remind her that he missed out on his special smooches.

Just wait and see how he reminds his mom that he really wants his hug. (You can see it in the video at the bottom of this post.) Photos and videos of his pouting face and hinting whines are spreading smiles and receiving lots of love online. It’s hard to look away from such a larger-than-life dog being so silly, playful, and cuddly.

He may be deaf, but that doesn’t stop him from living his best life. After Kernel was diagnosed with end-stage ear disease in Oct 2021, he had a double ear ablation, a procedure in which the ear canal is removed. But he still embraces his love of laps by being a service dog who sometimes performs deep pressure therapy.

When he’s not hugging and loving up on his mom, Kernel loves to strut his stuff down the sidewalk, take hikes, and pick out new toys from the pet store. Kernel’s mama is always showering him with love. He’s her whole world, but she almost lost him recently.

Lucky To Be Alive

Not only does Kernel’s mom feel so incredibly lucky to have this handsome love bug in her life, but Kernel is incredibly lucky to be alive. He had a seven-inch tumor on his spleen that ruptured along with the spleen itself.

This resulted in him hemorrhaging four pounds of blood, and the odds of his survival weren’t in his favor. Through luck, love, and talented doctors performing emergency surgery, this sweet boy survived. He’s a beautiful, snuggly miracle pup!
